This is a 2-day tour in a comfortable minibus with a small group. You will visit the most famous places of the South Coast and Jökulsárlón Glacial lagoon.
You will see the famous Reynisfjara beach – a black beach with volcanic sand. Visit the stunning jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon at the Vatnajökull national Park, where you can walk along the largest glacier in Europe and go on the glacier.
You will be able to see the stunning Northern lights during winter time. (this will depend on weather conditions).
Seljalandsfoss waterfall – this waterfall is 65 meters high. This stunning waterfall is one of the highest in Iceland. There is a path right behind the water flows, you can go around the waterfall from the inside. It’s an exciting sight. Take a raincoat with you) 500 meters to the North-West there is another very beautiful “secret” waterfall Gljúfrabúi), it is located inside a canyon. To get to the waterfall, you will have to go along the riverbed, jumping from stone to stone. Your reward will be an amazing waterfall and great photos!
Skógafoss waterfall is one of the largest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 meters and a height of 60 meters. On Sunny days, you can see one or two rainbows because of the spray. Climbing the stairs next to the gorge, you will get to a special area above the top of the waterfall-from here you can enjoy a stunning view.
Reynisfjara, the black sand beach is a mysterious place with volcanic sand from black gravel. As a result of the impact of sea water on the coastal rocks there were amazing formations of the same black as pitch color-these are boulders and columns. Black basalt columns are called “Reynisdrangar”. They stand among the waters of the North Atlantic, also called “Troll Fingers”.
As an option you can add on this day when booking: horse back riding
Jökulsarlón glacial lagoon with a depth of 200 m, where parts of Vatnajökull brakes into pieces and drifts on the lagoon and slowly drifts towards the sea. Take a walk along the glacial lagoon and enjoy the stunning views.
Diamond beach. On the other side of the road, the Diamond beach, icebergs from the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon drift to the ocean, where winds and the force of the tide throw them ashore. The black sandy beach is full of large and small ice stones of all shapes and sizes, sparkling like diamonds, contrasting strongly with the black volcanic sand.
Blue ice cave/Glacial walking. The journey will continue in a super jeep. We recommend wearing waterproof Hiking boots with hard soles that cover your ankles. Hiking on glaciers and in ice caves is possible only with the help of a certified guide and special equipment to ensure Your safety. Your guide will guide you through the unique ice and share your knowledge of the glacier. These amazing impressions will remain with You for the rest of your life. And, of course, you will make great photos)
