Hjálparfoss, also known as the “Help’s Falls,” is situated in the Þjórsárdalur valley, just to the north of one of Iceland’s most active volcanoes, Hekla. This waterfall features a two-step cascade that gracefully descends into a spacious plunge pool, all enveloped by remarkably distinctive basalt rock formations.

Two small waterfalls gracefully descend from the Rauðá River into the ravine known as Gjárfoss. These falls gained recognition as a filming location in the Game of Thrones series.

Háifoss, standing at a height of 122 meters, is nestled along the Fossá River—a spring-fed tributary of Þjórsá, Iceland’s longest glacial river. The vista from this vantage point is truly breathtaking.
